The four Stage V compliant machines have operating weights of 14-23 tonnes and are each powered by low emission Cummins diesel engines. The revised line-up starts with the HW140A, weighing in at 14.9 tonnes with a monoboom and 15.8 tonnes with a two-piece main boom. Waste firm turns to Hyundai

Bristol-based McCarthy Marland have invested in a fleet of Hyundai excavators, ranging from eight to 15 tonnes for sorting and loading duties. This latest investment adds more Hyundai machines to their fleet which already included several HX145LCR’s and a HX220L 20 tonne class excavator. Chepstow Plant International has signed a deal with SMT GB for a range of Volvo machines, including 52 articulated haulers, 12 wheeled loaders and 7 excavators. Amongst the newly ordered articulated haulers are 25 A40Gs, which are split between a major earthmoving project in the north of England and substantial clay mines located in the South. Duchy Plant Hire Ltd, based in Truro in Cornwall, has purchased 15 new Doosan excavators of various sizes from 2.7 to 25.5 tonne from Bridgwater-based Kellands (Plant Sales) Ltd. The 15 new Doosan machines include a DX27Z 2.7 tonne, two DX62R-3 and a DX63-3 6.2 tonne and three DX85R-3 8.5 tonne mini-excavators, together with six DX140LC-5 14.4 tonne, DX225LC-5 22.1 tonne and DX255LC-5 25.5 tonne crawler excavators.
