JCB has answered a call from the University Hospitals of North Midlands for donations of vital supplies of personal protective equipment during the current Coronavirus crisis. Virus Hits JCB!

JCB is set to reduce production levels at UK factories due to anticipated component shortages from Chinese suppliers impacted by the coronavirus outbreak, the company announced today. The move will mean a shorter working week for around 4,000 JCB and agency shop floor employees from Monday (February 17th). This follows an immediate suspension of all overtime. CESAR Emissions Compliance Verification (ECV) will be standard on every JCB EU Stage V and electric machine for the UK market from March 1, 2020. Britaniacrest Recycling has recently taken delivery of a new JCB JS200W wheeled excavator from local dealer, Greenshields JCB. The company has also ordered two JCB JS220X excavators to be used for loading crushers, a screener, shredders, waste trommels and breaking concrete, in addition to occasional use for demolition and groundwork. JCB has updated its 457, 437 and 427 Wastemaster wheeled loading shovels to meet the upcoming EU Stage V emissions legislation. The new Stage V Wastemasters feature Cummins diesel engines that deliver an increase in engine power and a reduction in emissions and fuel consumption.
