Having lost out to the mighty West Ham United on its bid to take over the Olympic Stadium, Tottenham Hotspur had to get creative.

The club committed to building a new stadium close by its existing White Hart Lane home. But that construction project potentially meant more than 12,000 lorry loads of material being hauled along some of the busiest roads in North London.

SE Davis had an alternative, however. The company designed and built a wash plant to utilise the materials lying right beneath the contractor’s feet – Sand and gravel from Tottenham itself.
