At Intermat 2018, Bobcat and Doosan Portable Power will be presenting new products for the first time at the show. Prominent among these will be Bobcat’s new ground-breaking 2-4 tonne compact excavators. They will be complemented by the debut of the new TL30.70 compact telehandler and a new version of the top-of-the-range T870 compact track loader.

Intermat will demonstrate why Bobcat is a market leader in attachments with the widest portfolio on the market – several new loader attachments will be launched including the Self-Levelling, variable segment WS-SL20 Wheel Saw. Doosan Portable Power will also have a strong presence including the launch of the new 7/53R portable compressor.

With a performance every hour, Bobcat will be presenting products from the entire range, with a spotlight on the breadth and efficacy of Bobcat compact loaders and attachments, providing different solutions for construction, utilities, landscaping, grounds maintenance, rental and many other applications.

The first details to be released by the company are on the new 2-3 tonne E26, E27z and E27 models. All three models offer best-in-class stability as well as complying with weight limits for easy trailering. The main focus has been on operator comfort with the new machines incorporating many innovative features and offering an enhanced level of quality and robustness. They form a new flexible machine platform with different configurations of machines and specifications to suit a wide range of applications and customer needs.

A similar radical transformation is taking place in the 3-4 tonne range. The new E34 and E35z have been developed to reinforce the Bobcat product offering in this category of compact excavator. The company will release more information on these new machines at Intermat.

Providing a maximum lift capacity of 3 tonne and a maximum lift height of nearly 7 m, the new TL30.70 compact telehandler from Bobcat is designed for a wide range of applications found in the construction and rental industries.

The TL30.70 provides an excellent cost-effective alternative to larger 7 m models, especially where working spaces are tight and increased manoeuvrability is required. With the new model, Bobcat has completed the full range of products from the company for the telehandler market. Performance is not compromised as the TL30.70 offers an outstanding maximum reach of 4 m with a load of more than 1 tonne. At the maximum lift height, users can lift up to 2 tonne of weight, which is sufficient to place a pallet of heavy bricks in most conditions.

The new version of the T870 features a torsion suspension undercarriage, introducing a completely new undercarriage design to the Bobcat compact track loader range. The torsion suspension undercarriage features torsion axles that dampen vibration, combining the comfort of roller suspension and the stability of a solid mount undercarriage with other new features to provide a tracked loader that outperforms all other machines on the market.

There will be several new Bobcat attachments launched at Intermat including the new WS-SL20 Self-Levelling Wheel Saw. Approved for use on the T870 and several other Bobcat compact loaders, the new WS-SL20 Wheel Saw is designed to cut efficiently through asphalt, rock and concrete surfaces. It has a variable segments wheel, which allows the user to quickly change the width of the wheel (50, 80, 100, 120 mm) in the field, instead of replacing the complete wheel in a workshop (providing a saving of 10 hours in the process).

The new Yanmar-powered 7/53R portable compressor supplies 5.0 m3/min (177 cfm) of compressed air at a rated output pressure of 7 bar. Designed to meet O1 trailer category requirements – the 750 kg category – the new 7/53R is ideally suited not only for the rental market but also as a durable, cost-effective machine for the 5.0 m3/min segment, covering the most common applications in construction, utilities and other markets.
