Long-standing Scottish hire specialist, Gordon Bow Plant Hire Ltd, has expanded its fleet by making its first purchase of Kubota machinery due to increased customer demand.

Gordon Bow, a family run business established in Broxburn, purchased ten Kubota U48-4’s from Young Plant Sales, Kubota UK’s longest serving construction dealer. With over 35 years’ experience, Gordon Bow has over 200 plant items on hire throughout Scotland; supplying operated and non-operated machines from 1.5 tonne to 35 tonne and to a wide range of customers and sectors.

“Gordon Bow is extremely excited about the value the Kubota U48-4’s are going to add to our business,” says Graham Bow, Managing Director and Plant Manager of Gordon Bow. “We identified the excavators to be used across a wide range of sectors, including both operated and self-drive markets, such as street works and also the house building market.”

“With there being a rising increase in demand for Kubota machines by construction firms, many clients and operators have recognised Kubota excavators for their durability and performance, leading us to our purchasing decision,” says Bow.

“The U48-4’s are a welcome addition to our fleet, and we are very much looking forward to developing a strong relationship with both Kubota and Young Plant.”

The U48-4 is an advanced 4.8 tonne machine with upgraded digging and lifting power, allowing for stable and efficient work to be carried out in various applications. Its powerful and well-balanced arm and bucket allow the operator to dig fast and efficiently, even in the toughest of conditions.

“We are very excited to be working with such a well respected and established machinery specialist in Gordon Bow Plant Hire Ltd,” says Richard Sayers, Kubota UK’s Construction Dealer Manager. “This is just the beginning of what I’m sure will become a long and fruitful partnership.”
